UNC Charlotte Diversity Plan

In fall 2015, the Chancellor requested that the CUC update the University of North Carolina Diversity Plan for Campus Diversity, Access, and Inclusion.  Because a successful diversity plan must include input from ALL divisions of the University and requires collective responsibility at all levels, the draft plan was posted and the UNC Charlotte community asked for input.   Once all the input was received, it was reviewed and the appropriate changes to the Diversity Plan were made.  

The Council on University Community (CUC) would like to thank everyone who took the time to review the UNC Charlotte Diversity Plan for Campus Diversity, Access, and Inclusion and make suggestions.

The Council on University Community (CUC), comprised of members of the Chancellor’s Cabinet and chaired by Provost Joan Lorden, was charged with leading diversity efforts at UNC Charlotte and advising the Chancellor of means to create and sustain an inclusive environment that values the presence of people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and ideas. The Council spearheads initiatives that promote a deeper understanding of diversity issues and foster a sense of community among faculty, staff, and students.  The CUC is responsible for assessing and reporting to the campus on progress toward the goals of the Diversity Plan.
