This semester-long series of sessions for new faculty focuses on a variety of important issues faculty face to help them navigate their first year on campus, and to build a sense of community. Each year, new faculty gather for sessions that include a welcome orientation/open forum presentations from the Center for Teaching and Learning, The Atkins Library, the Writing Resource Center, The Office of Proposal Development, workshops on plagiarism, and the reappointment, promotion and tenure process, among other topics. The series ends with a closing gathering to reflect on the first year. Sessions will be held on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00 - 3:15 p.m. in CHHS 128 during the Fall semester beginning August 30, 2016. The dates associated with each session may change as the schedule is formalized, but the list of topics will allow you to see what sessions will be offerred. Please check back often, as the dates will be updated shortly.
